Despite the chilly mornings, we opened the back door and just laid in bed listening to the creek. I recorded 20 minutes of God’s music. We will definitely be back! Thank you for sharing your beautiful and serene slice of heaven.

The furnishings, artwork and decor are meticulously curated, making it pretty darned swank - especially considering it's a century-old barn. The BEST aspect of this space is the luxurious bed and bedding! I was excited to retire there each night of my stay! The huge screened porch and adjacent rushing stream were also memorable and value-added features. The kitchen was adequate, but minimalist. Turn right out of the driveway for an amazing multi-mile adventure throught the heart of Pisgah National Forest - a major discovery and highlight of my stay. read less

The barn was clean and comfortable and we loved the rustic decor. We loved returning to the barn after a long day of hiking to relax by the fire pit or on the porch. Kerstin and John were very responsive and their place had everything we needed for a perfect weekend trip. We can’t wait to book our next trip! read less

We love getting away from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives to soak in the peacefulness and beauty this place has to offer. From the small tiny details of art in the home to the thoughtfulness of the hosts. This place is hands down always our favorite stay.
There are great little restaurants in town to eat. Our favorite this past time was Pigs and Grits. And I always have to stop by Appalachian Java for a great cup of coffee.
I always love taking a good nap in the hammock on the porch. ❤️. The sound of the stream is the best part.
There are games to play, books to read, and movies to watch.
If you are up in the air about renting it… hit the book now button… I promise you will NOT be disappointed. read less
